MAIN PURPOSE:

Responsible for the development, implementation and delivery of company-wide, comprehensive sales and new business development strategies for wet leisure construction in the UK. Focusing on swimming pool, sauna and spa market you will specialise in high-end residential and commercial market build projects, you will work within a larger group to develop synergies to generate contract value revenues of £8m pa. Sales pipeline will be achieved through improving quote to completion success ratios whilst maintaining brand value. To be achieved through proactively developing new relationships prospective clients in order to cultivate leads, maintain relationships with current contacts and leveraging Group wide pipeline opportunities.

 

KEY DUTIES:

  • – Reporting to the UK MD, integrated with finance, operations and marketing.
  • – Development, implementation and delivery of company wide sales strategies, within the UK.
  • – To set and achieve company sales, revenue and profitable growth targets (£8m pa contract revenue value)
  • – To build effective and successful working relationships with key accounts, main contractors, clients and prospective opportunities through inbound and outbound leads.
  • – Responsible for the preparation of compliant bid tender returns, all aspects of the tender return are to be processed, including design & specification, scope, pricing, contract and PQQ.
  • – Part of the senior leadership team responsible for daily running of the business and fostering an environment for all employees and the business to perform well.
  • – Responsible for upstream reporting of sales and pipeline and analysis of the same.
  • – Responsible for the overall management and administration of projects won, prior to design and delivery stage, including client & main contractor meetings and internal progress meetings.
  • – Provide management presence and drive business development in all areas of the business, carrying out works as required, including but not limited to quoting, sales meetings, networking, client liaison and securing works.
  • – Evaluate client & main contractor needs and company requirements, to provide solutions and maintain and deliver the established Guncast marque product and service.
  • Negotiating and demonstration of commercial decision making.

 

ATTRIBUTES / QUALIFICATIONS:

  • – Excellent sales & negotiation skills and a strong commercial acumen.
  • – Proven ability to drive sales through strategy, targets, initiative and leadership.
  • – Knowledge / previous experience within specialist construction (swimming pool industry preferred).
  • – Formal Industry qualification, e.g. HND, CIOB would be beneficial.
  • – Excellent written & verbal communication, IT, organisation, problem solving, leadership skills.
  • – Ability to read and interpret specialist full tender packages, technical drawings, schematics, specifications and consultant information.
  • – Self-motivated and able to self-manage is essential, reliable and able to adapt and develop to suit the role and business needs.
  • – Build good working relationships with other parties both internal and external.
  • – Some overnight travel and away stays may be necessary on an ad hoc basis.
  • – Ad hoc duties as required.
