One way to easily incorporate health and wellbeing into your daily routine, is with your own, complete home swimming pool and wellness area. Be inspired by this pool and spa project, designed and built by Guncast for a private residential property in Berkshire.

The Guncast Pools and Wellness team worked closely with the property owners to create a beautiful, functional swimming pool and wellness area. The design brief was to create a commercial spa feel, in their private wellness area, which is an extension to the main house.

A functional and stylish family swimming pool

The property owners were looking for a variable depth swimming pool which the family uses for relaxing, playing, and swimming. It was also important that the family could enjoy the view of their private garden from the swimming pool. During the summer, the pool hall’s large sliding windows can be opened up to let the outside in. The swimming pool itself is beautifully finished in deep blue Pool & Spa Glass mosaics, which complement the light stone surround to give a stylish, contemporary feel.

Wellness area with sauna and steam room

In addition to a full-sized swimming pool, the property owners wanted a complete wellness area, incorporating a gym, spa pool, sauna, and steam room.

The wellness area has been designed and built to benefit the entire family. The wellness facilities include a premium KLAFS steam room, with steam chimney, and finished in pearlescent mosaics. Also included is a premium KLAFS Sauna, made from Hemlock, with Obeche benches. The wellness area can be used by 3-5 people at any one time.
